The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has surpassed 10,000 active registered companies for the first time in its history in a record-breaking first half of 2026.
In a post on his official X account, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, said DIFC now has 10,018 active registered companies, up by 30 per cent from last year.
There are 1,134 regulated financial service firms, up by 16 percent, as well as 1,933 AI, FinTech and innovation firms, up by 39 per cent, and 1,408 family related entities, up by 36 per cent.
There is AED12.9billion expected in economic value from AI-embedded transformation, creating 25,000 new jobs.
Sheikh Maktoum added that the strong results reinforce its role in advancing Dubai towards the vision set by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, to position the city among the world’s top four financial centres.
