One departure terminal has been closed at the Jomo Kenyatta Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi after a fire forced authorities to evacuate passengers and staff.
There were no injuries in the latest incident, which occurred just before midnight on Wednesday, according to the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA).
It was sparked by a baggage system malfunction.
Flight operations at the affected terminal have been moved to an adjacent terminal while authorities worked to re-open it.
Apart from the national carrier Kenya Airways, the airport serves other airlines including Emirates, Turkish Airways, British Airways and Ethiopian Airlines.
