Federal employees in the UAE must take COVID-19 PCR tests every seven days until they receive the second dose of the vaccination.
In an update posted on social media, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources added that the workers will have to provide evidence of when they have been inoculated.
It said unvaccinated staff have to be tested every seven days at their own expense.
But their employer will pay if they can produce a medical certificate exempting them from the vaccine.
All employees of consulting firms and experts attending meetings in government offices are required to show that they have received both doses, or provide the negative result of a PCR test conducted within the last three days.
