Dubai is introducing a Workforce Productivity Measurement System aimed at enhancing efficiency across government entities.
The initiative was announced through an Executive Council resolution issued by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister.
The system will be rolled out in phases, starting with data-driven assessments of services, workforce size, salaries and working hours.
Results will guide initiatives to improve performance and service delivery.
The Dubai Government Human Resources Department will oversee the system, working closely with the Executive Council’s General Secretariat, the Department of Finance and Dubai Digital Authority.
Government entities are required to follow a procedural guide, submit regular reports and act on recommendations to enhance financial and operational efficiency.
Authorities say the system is designed to ensure smarter use of resources and better outcomes for the public.
