All mosques in the UAE will hold a special prayer for rain on Friday.
That's according to the directive sent by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who called for a prayer for "rain, mercy and abundance upon the country and its people".
Called Salaat Al Istisqaa, it will be performed 10 minutes before the Friday prayer.
These are in keeping with the tradition set by Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
