Rain of varying intensity has been reported in the UAE, mainly in Al Ain and in parts of Dubai, Sharjah and the northern emirates.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued yellow and orange alerts until 9:00 pm due to the unstable weather.
It has also urged motorists to exercise caution and maintain a safe distance between vehicles.
In Al Ain, the police have called on drivers to adhere to the changing speed limits shown on electronic information boards.
