The UAE’s State Security Apparatus (SSA) has dismantled a terrorist network funded and directed by Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Iran, arresting its members.
The group had been operating in the country under a fake commercial cover, aiming to infiltrate the national economy and carry out external schemes that could threaten financial stability.
Authorities said the network followed a pre-planned strategy, coordinated with external parties linked to Hezbollah and Iran, to launder money, finance terrorism and undermine national security.
The SSA stressed that any attempt to exploit the UAE’s economy or institutions for terrorist or subversive purposes will be met with full force, and that no external interference threatening the country’s security will be tolerated, regardless of its source.
