UAE President extends sympathy over Indonesian football tragedy victims

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a cable of condolences to his Indonesian counterpart, Joko Widodo, over the tragic killing of over 125 people at a football stadium over the weekend.

Sheikh Mohamed wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the tragedy.

Two days after the incident, Indonesia has set up an independent team to investigate a crowd crush at a football stadium that killed 125 people, as the country's human rights commission questioned the police use of tear gas.
